Description
Known for its stress-relieving, calming and restful effects, Optisom:
- Helps to temporarily promote relaxation.
- Helps re-set the body’s sleep-wake cycle (aspect of the circadian rhythm).
- Time release melatonin active up to 7 hours.
Directions
Recommended Dose: Adults: 1 Capsule 1 time per day
Do not drive or use machinery for 5 hours after taking melatonin. Take once a day, at or before bedtime.

Duration of Use:
For use beyond 4 weeks, consult a health care practitioner.
Cautions and Warnings:
- Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.
- Consult a health care practitioner if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks (chronic insomnia).
- If you are taking prescription medications, consult a health care practitioner prior to use.
- If you have one of the following conditions, consult a health care practitioner prior to use: asthma, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, depression, diabetes or hypoglycaemia, hormonal disorder, immune system disease, liver disease, migraine, or seizure disorders.
- Consumption with alcohol, other medications or natural health products with sedative and/or analgesic properties is not recommended.
- If you are taking one of the following medications, consult a health care practitioner prior to use: anticoagulant, anticonvulsant, blood pressure medications, immunosuppressive medications, sedative, hypnotic, or psychotropic medications, or steroids.
Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Known Adverse Reactions:
- Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness.
- Mild gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, or cramping) have been known to occur in which case, discontinue use.
Some people may experience diarrhoea.
- Rare allergic reactions have been known to occur in which case, discontinue use.
